Shuvee Etrata Bids Farewell to Role as Tonet in 'The Master Cutter'

Shuvee Etrata has officially signed off from her role as Tonet in the GMA drama series "The Master Cutter." The Sparkle actress shared an emotional farewell message on Instagram, reflecting on the significance of the project in her career and personal growth.

In her message, Shuvee expressed deep gratitude to the viewers who followed and supported Tonet's journey throughout the series. She described the project as a meaningful experience where she learned, grew, and discovered more about herself as an actress.

Shuvee also extended her thanks to Dingdong Dantes, the lead actor, for his role in uniting the cast both on and off camera. She acknowledged Dingdong’s efforts in fostering camaraderie among the team, saying he not only brought them together for the show but also strengthened their bond behind the scenes.

Her appreciation further included co-star Ketchup Eusebio, whom she considered fortunate to have worked alongside. She also thanked the entire cast, production team, GMA Creatives, Sparkle, and director Dominic Zapata for their trust, patience, guidance, and the memorable experiences shared during the show's run.

Shuvee made sure to recognize the audience’s support, particularly expressing gratitude to her fellow Bisaya fans. She also thanked Netflix Philippines for their love and backing, noting the platform’s role in bringing the series to a wider audience.

Before concluding her message, Shuvee encouraged fans to continue supporting "The Master Cutter" even after her character’s departure. She reflected on how Tonet became a significant part of her life and expressed lasting gratitude for the opportunity to tell her story.

The character Tonet met a tragic end in the series after being killed by Martina, portrayed by Max Eigenmann. This act was intended to keep a family secret hidden from Atoy (played by Dingdong Dantes) and Audrey (Max Collins).

Dingdong Dantes also publicly praised Shuvee’s performance as Tonet, dedicating a post to commend her acting skills. He highlighted that her portrayal demonstrated she has much more to offer as an actress.
